HUMANISE Project

World's first HMI field study of teleoperated mobility platforms

OUR STORY

Intuitive Teleoperations

Teleoperations can significantly reduce the workload on astronauts by enabling intuitive remote control of equipment and systems from a safe distance, e.g. rovers.

We combine technology and psychological study to help build the most intuitive teleoperation system ever!

Our objective

During the AMADEE-24 analogue mission, the HUMANISE project aims to conduct a comparative study of three controllers to assess the stress levels of remote operators in extreme environments.

Controllers

Three technologies that have the potential to achieve intuitive tele-operations are brain-computer interaction (BCI), virtual reality (VR), and haptic gamepad controller.
